On her best day I never quite got Ellen Degenerate. For a start I didn't think she was particularly funny and I found that little dance or wiggle she used to do annoying. Her whole performance was too anxious. There was something feigned and inauthentic about it.
In 1997 Ellen revealed she was a lesbian. This revelation took place on the Ellen Show. The news went viral and provided the kind of publicity and platform that would have cost millions of dollars if she had had to pay for it.
In 2003 her own talk-show went on the air and became a huge hit, but as time went on rumors flourished that she had become a nasty piece of work especially to employees. She made about $50 million per year until the rumors caught up with her and the show ended in 2022.
I'm not convinced that Portia de Rossi is actually a lesbian. Frankly, I think her own career was going nowhere when Ellen made a pass at her, made her an offer she couldn't refuse and off came her panties. Portia decided to go along for the ride, or along for the strap-on, and enjoy a lifestyle she was incapable of providing for herself. She now has the misfortune of having to see Ellen naked every day. This contradicts the old bromide that it is better to give than to receive
They now live in the Cotswolds, an area that encompasses Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire. It is a beautiful part of England that even Ellen's nastiness won't be able to deface.
