Thus far I have supported the current DOJ, but the way the vexed issue of Jeffrey Epstein's death has been handled recently is deplorable and dishes up endless amounts of fodder to eager conspiracy theorists like Tucker Carlson.
We all watched Attorney General Bondi’s unequivocal statement on television saying Epstein’s client list was on her desk and she was scrutinizing it. Last week she tried to obfuscate what she actually meant. She meant exactly what she said. There is no other interpretation. People across the political spectrum are upset and a dark shadow has now been cast over the DOJ’s credibility.
Jeffrey Epstein was a ubiquitous figure among the glitterati and as it turns out something of a highly intelligent and first rate grifter. Just ask Leslie Wexner whose fortune Epstein managed and frequently embezzled to the tune of $46 million according to Wexner himself.
Epstein appeared here, there and everywhere. He visited Mar-a-Lago twice and was photographed with Trump and Melania apparently enjoying themselves along with Ghislaine Maxwell whose late father embezzled the pension fund of his employees and was also accused of working for Israeli intelligence. He is buried in the Mount of Olives.
It is a matter of indifference to me If Epstein’s videos, files, notebooks and various records show he indulged in sex parties between consenting adults, some participants being well known public figures, but if minors were involved or if coercion was used then it is an entirely different matter. He would have been able to exert enormous influence over the participants who had been unaware their sexual escapades were being filmed. This could have provided him with more than enough insider information and hostile influence to sink the Queen Mary.
It is possible that Epstein approached Israeli intelligence with the compromising material he had and that it was used to considerable advantage. However, that remains a matter for sheer speculation, something at which Tucker is an expert when it comes to Israel as the video below demonstrates.
In the meantime, Pam Bondi has some explaining to do. What she said last week is just not good enough. Considering her previous public statement on Epstein’s client list it gave the impression that there is a cover-up taking place. For one thing, where are all the other victims and participants involved in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring and what are their names? Surely, they couldn’t all have hanged themselves.
